To evaluate the effectiveness of educational videos in the field of pharmacy, we created a video on the aseptic preparation of injectable medications, targeting pharmacists and focusing on the first and second levels of the Kirkpatrick model, assessed in terms of reaction and learning. Reactions were assessed using a questionnaire survey, and learning was evaluated using a practical skills test. The survey showed generally high ratings across all items, including comprehension, interest or motivation, and practical applications, regardless of the level of experience. The practical examination revealed significant improvements in certain techniques and overall scores in the educational video group compared with the existing textbook group. This demonstrates the effectiveness of educational videos for pre-learning and their potential to contribute to technique standardization. However, video-only education may be insufficient for mastering simple degassing and other complex techniques, suggesting the need for instructor feedback and hands-on experience. These results indicate that while educational videos can stimulate interest and motivation, they can also serve as useful self-improvement tools for learning practical skills when proper educational methods, such as follow-up systems after viewing, are applied.
