Although I receive various inquiries in the inpatient pharmaceutical service, I strongly feel that pharmacists who can not only “reply” but also “discuss” cases are required these days. However, in order to “discuss” cases, in addition to knowledge of drugs, knowledge of the disease state and the ability to evaluate the case itself from multiple perspectives are also required, so a great deal of knowledge and experience is essential. In order to share knowledge gained through actual cases and to realize comprehensive pathological evaluation, we conduct a clinical conference mainly for young pharmacists and discuss from various perspectives. Interns from pharmaceutical college of our hospital have actually observed and experienced this clinical conference and received training on pathological evaluation. This time, I would like to present the cases that the author actually picked up in this conference, and discuss the importance of comprehensive pathological evaluation and the educational system in universities necessary for that.
