Stress erythrocytosisにおける心身医学的検討

We have conducted a psychosomatic study in 18 cases of stress erythrocytosis. The results were summarized as follows. The IV type, which is the psychosomatic type according to Abe's evaluation, was seen in 61.1% Of the subjects when examined by Cornell Medical Index. Using Yatabe-Guilford's personality test, black list & eccentric types were observed in 61.l %. The mean profile showed the AE type indicating depressive, egocentric & nondirective tendencies. 61.1% Of the subjects scored high points in Manifest Anxiety Scale. Also, 66.6% belonged to the high score group in Self-Rating Questionnaire for Depression. The precipitating factors were analyzed in each case. As a result, 15 out of 18 cases were found to be under undue emotional stress and strain. The author emphasized that the emotional upset as well as personality played an important role to cause stress erythrocytosis.
