Abstract
Patient: The patient was a 41-year-old woman. She had already been using removable partial dentures but more teeth needed to be extracted. She was offered comprehensive treatment in accordance with a curative program for patients expected to lose a number of teeth.
Discussion: Prosthetic treatment for a patient with severe periodontal disease succeeded in maintaining her dental mastication and esthetics.
Conclusion: When deciding treatment order for patients in whom positive treatment is necessary for heavy periodontitis, treatment result satisfying the patient was obtained by planning prosthetic treatment to include maintenance of function and esthetic, as well as consideration of the patient's age, desires, and background.
