We report a case of uncommon congenital neonatal choanal atresia (CA) that became apparent postnatally with acute respiratory distress and cyanosis. Simple puncture and stenting for 1 month done 1 week after birth was followed at 10 weeks by transnasal endoscopic repair removing the posterior bony septum and widening the choana. This technique has proven quite useful in treating neonatal CA.
