A 74 year-old female was admitted on December, 1981 with bronchopneumonia. Chest roentgenogram showed bilateral lower lobe pneumonia and prominent dilatation of the trachea and main bronchi. Breast CT scan showed that the largest widths of the trachea, right and left bronchi were 48, 32 and 23mm in diameter. Bronchoscopic examination showed an irregular lumen and sacullar dilatation of the trachea and main bronchi. In the cartilaginous portion of the trachea atrophy of the longitudinal elastic fibers and the lamina elastica interna of arteriola was soon.
