Abstract In the previous paper we have dealt theoretically with the nature of the subharrnonic resonance in the system having the restoring force expressed by the third degree curve of the displacement. In this paper the author studies the nature of the subharmonic resonance in the sysfem with a small clearance by expressing the restoring force in such system in the form of fifth degree curve of displacement.
