The rolls are classified into two types; one is a single-solid roll, and the other is a shrink-fitted sleeve roll consisting of a sleeve and a shaft. Regarding the shrink-fitted sleeve roll, the interfacial creep sometimes appears between the shaft and the shrink-fitted sleeve. In previous studies, the numerical simulation was performed to realize the interfacial slip. However, the validity of the simulation has not been confirmed yet experimentally. In this paper, therefore, the rolling experiment is conducted by using a miniature rolling mill. Then, the slip distance and the displacement increase rate obtained in the experiment are compared with the simulation results. The experimental values and the simulation values are qualitatively consistent. The total length of the slip defects observed on the surfaces of the sleeve and the shaft coincides with the slip length. The three-dimensional geometry of the defect is identified.
