The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effective utilization method of computer assisted swimming instruction web site for elementary school children. 5th-grade children (n=60) participated in this study. The subjects were divided to two groups which learned with the computer assisted instruction (CAI) web site through out the swimming class and the control group which only participated in the ordinary swimming class inside the pool. Learning motive, learning strategy and 25m swimming performance was investigated before and after the swimming class. Questionnaire survey to investigate perceptional image on CAI web site was conducted. As results, positive impression was attained toward CAI web site utilization. However, significant improvement on learning motive, learning strategy and swimming performance were not observed. To obtain beneficial effect from the CAI web site for swimming, it was suggested that instruction content inside the class should be linked with the CAI program and utilized period should be set close to the swimming class.
