Abstract
A retrospective investigation was performed on 12 patients with submandibular cancers treated between April 2005 and March 2012. Four were adenoid cystic carcinomas, 4 were salivary duct carcinomas, 2 were epithelial-myoepithelial carcinomas, 1 was mucoepithelial carcinoma and 1 was carcinoma. One patient was in Stage I, 5 in Stage II, 2 in Stage III, 3 in Stage IV A, and 1 in Stage IV. Overall survival rate was 62%. The factors indicating a poor outcome were Stage IV and N positive.
