Optimum Water Supply Control and Planning Method of Dam Reservoir Using Statistic Rule Curve

Adaption of Statistic Reverse Storage Mass-curve

Abstract

To establish a simple and effective water supply control and planning method of dam reservoirs the statistic reverse storage mass-curve which is generally used in dam planning is studied for obtaining a water saving rule in this paper. In comparison with the DDC Rule Curve which is a well known drought control method based on statistical inflow values, the statistic reverse storage curve is similar to the DDC Rule Curve in the case of small statistical probability, but is easier to construct, thus its effectiveness is confirmed.
