A Challenge to Industry--Academia Cooperation Finding New Ways for Coordinator Development

Abstract

A lot of writing, discussion has been done already about the history of university-industry cooperation in Japan. This paper, however, deals not with the history but with notions and results derived from the actual practices of the coordinator taking a central role in university-industry cooperative activities. Furthermore this paper aims to explore new directions of university-industry cooperation based on these results.
