Abstract

The number of papers published in “Journal of Japan Society for Intellectual Production”, which is published by this Society, has remained stagnant. Increasing the publications is one of major issues for the Society. To better understand this issue, I analyzed submission and publication trends in the journal over the past 20 years. The results indicate that both the low number of submissions and the low publication rate are major contributing factors.

To encourage more submissions, I introduced a practical procedure based on my own experience. The core idea is to plan the connection between conference presentations and manuscript preparation in advance, and to persist steadily through the writing process.

Furthermore, as part of the society's initiatives, we plan to implement a “Paper Writing Support program” aimed at improving the acceptance rate of submitted manuscripts. I outlined the procedures and implementation methods for this program.

We hope that these efforts will lead to an increase in submissions and an improvement in the publication rate.
