Abstract
Many companies based in Miyagi prefecture suffered enormous damage after the Eastern Japan Great Earthquake of magnitude 9, the most powerful recorded earthquake in Japan, and the following massive tsunami (Eastern Japan Great Earthquake Disaster - Higashi Nihon Dai-shinsai). This paper reports on the recovery and the reconstruction support activities for those companies, conducted by the Industrial Technology Institute, Miyagi Prefectural Government, including the cases of the industry-university-government collaboration.
