In this study, we have analyzed the sitting comfort of automotive seat, whose impact resilience of pad was only changed, by the use of subjective measurement and the measurment of pressure distribution. From the result of sensory evaluation test, it was found that the difference of impact resilience influenced on the sitting comfort. Especially two factors, ‘Thermal comfort & support’ and ‘sliding to the weft direction’ were evaluated as important factor of sitting comfort by factor analysis. The other hand, we have investigated the possibility of quantification about the support feeling of automotive seat using the contact area and contact pressure. At the result, the contact pressure of ischium and the contact area of whole area, buttocks area and side part were useful as the index of support feeling of automotive seat. It was also investigated how the impact resilience of pad can give the sitting comfort to subjects.
