The analysis of the knee and jackscrew of the knee-and column type milling machine is carried out theoretically and experimentally.
As the result of it, some conditions to the profile of the knee and the position of the jackscrew are introduced, and the new milling machine which has the high rigidity statically and dynamically, is manufactured for trial.
