Three new species of the Trichotichnus leptopus group are described from Kyoto, Gifu, and Nagano, Japan as following: T. (Trichotichnus) hisamatsui from Hachou in Kyoto, T. (T.) akitai from Kasuga-mura in Gifu, and T. (T.) hanmeii from Hase-mura village in Nagano. T. akitai is closely related to T. (T.) latemarginatus.
