Ceutorhynchus nitidulus (FAUST) is recorded for the first time from Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu, Japan. In addition to its distributional records, a diagnosis of C. nitidulus is provided to facilitate the identification of this species. The adults of this species have been captured on Cardamine species (Brassicaceae) on many occasions in Japan, Korea, and East Russia.
