Abstract
In recent years, the activity of the public library becoming a place for the community has been a popular issue. Conventionally, the major role of a library was "to connect books (information) to people" but recently, the function as a place to connect people to people is receiving more attention. The author belongs to "Tsuzuki Library Fan Club" a library club which contributes to supporting the Tsuzuki Library through coproduction activities. The library has also been searching for a method for co-producing citizen groups and libraries. Libraries are not just a place to read, but an important place for a community to actively "connect people with people". The number of municipalities actively taking this approach is expected to increase. The present and future prospects of what lies behind this trend and what the citizens seek in a library is being considered with the readers, together with introducing the author's experience.
