This paper reports about the activity of The Question Formula Technique(QFT), based on Rothstein & Santana (2015), for the Japanese studies students, to make use of it for the preparation of their course dissertations. Various studies have shown that how to formulate a research question when writing papers or research plans, but in many cases, it is assumed to work alone. From the viewpoint of formulating the research question, this paper compares some studies to formulate the research question and the method of QFT and reports how the process of creating various questions by multiple people affected the questions in the thesis.
