The purpose of this study was to examine how scrapbooking activities at “Nihongo Cafe,” a platform for intercultural exchange, were perceived by the participants and the staff. The analysis revealed that the participants enjoyed the collaborative engagement and interaction sparked by the visual elements and design. Furthermore, the staff members recognized such interactions as being beneficial. The introduction of scrapbooking activities demonstrated their potential to create inclusive spaces in which students from diverse backgrounds could participate and interact.
