Multi-beam laser cladding system is a method of forming a layer by heating and melting both a substrate and powders with lasers. Due to the melting of flying powder, it is possible to form a layer having a dilution region of 10 μm or less. The cladding speed in multi-beam laser cladding has not been increased. We developed a high intensity laser cladding system using three 100 W blue diode lasers, and performed high-speed laser cladding with a cladding speed of 100 mm/s. A model for the powder heating distance of a three-beam multi-laser cladding system was derived. The region of uniform heating in multi-laser cladding using three beams was clarified. As a result of performing laser coating under the set conditions, the desired highquality layer was obtained. The correlation between the laser power density and the dilution layer was clarified.
