抄録

The author reports three specimens of Vespertilio superans THOMAS and Plecotus auritus sacrimontis ALLEN from Aomori prefecture (Northern Honsyu of Japan) .
A) Vespertilio superans THOMAS
A specimen obtained on August 7, 1955 in Saigosi, Sannohe-gun Aomori pref. by Miss. Mitiko Tasima. Measurements : head and body 59, tail 41, ear from meatus 14, tragus 4.5, fore arm 49.3, hind foot (cu) 11.5, skull (greatest length) 16.8. Colour of upper parts looks like Verona Brown ; under parts Pinkish Buff. The apical portion of hairs between thin colour and white with the exception of those of underparts of neck. Lateral view of the ear and dorsal view of the inter femoral membrane are shown in fig. 1. This specimen has a distinct fold of skin that connects both ears. But this fold never described about this species. The doubt of this adult specimen (_??_) expects to future studies.
Another specimen obtained on August 12, 1954 in Saigosi. Measurements : head and body 60, tail 34, ear from meatus 12, tragus 4, fore arm 45, hind foot (cu) 10.5, skull (g. 1.) 16.5. Colour : blackish, underparts resemble to brown. The apical portion of hairs white. In short, this specimen is immature individual. This young specimen has no fold of skin.
B) Plecotus auritus sacrimontis ALLEN
The auther obtaind this specimen which was on all fours to the ceiling of a cave in Saigosi on April 23, 1954. This individual stoops for eats on the pocket by the interfemoral membrane. And, she pursued the victuals (insects) at crawls on all fours. Measurements : head and body 62.5, tail 49.5, ear from meatus 33, tragus 14.6, fore arm 43.3, hind foot (cu) 8.
