As the case study about the space design of wards for patients with stress-related disease, the Seaside Ward of Shiranuhi Hospital which is a pioneer in the treatment of stress care was investigated. It is verified that the architecture concepts have some usefulness for treatment ward through the evaluation of patients. We can point out that (1) the patients give high evaluation to the hospital building, especially bed rooms; then (2) this high evaluation to bed rooms has a good infulence on evaluation of entire wards and relaxation. From these the concepts of hospital design turned out to be very successful.
