Abstract
This paper focuses on the effectiveness of regional characters. Many local public authorities use a regional character for attracting and promoting their regions. Many researchers and practitioners examine regional brands for regional vitalization. However, little research focuses on regional characters, particularly in management diagnosis. In this paper, we examine the effectiveness of regional characters and the difference between regional brand and regional character. Further, we analyze the degree of market orientation of the organization that introduces regional characters.
