Abstract
This study proposed and tested a theoretical model of infiltration of organizational business creed using a sample (N=1,569; regular worker: 260, part-timer: 1,309) of retail stores’ employees. Based upon a multiple indicators model, results indicated that organizational business creed was related to uniqueness of the organization, uniqueness of the organization was related to employees’ identification with their organization. Additionally, organizational identification was positively related to the employees’ contextual performance within the organization. The results of multiple group analysis showed the theoretical model of the process was not different by the difference of status. The implications of these findings for the organization management to diversify are discussed.
