Abstract

In this study, we performed an attitude survey to the doctor who worked in the general hospital (A, B) having multiple clinical departments, as a preliminary study to create a mechanism to promote interaction among stakeholders involved in hospital construction. We clarified the actual situation of the current hospital space as workplace environment and analyzed the present conditions and the problem of the relation of the doctor in the construction plan. Analysis of 208 respondents indicated that various hospital space improvements were required. 72% of doctors were interested in the structure of the hospital. However, approximately 90% of respondents thought that their own opinions were not reflected in the current construction plan, and it was presumed that the method of the hearing in the planning stage had a problem. Architectural plan for public hospitals requires a system that reflects the opinions of the medical staff working on-site as well as the government and architects involved in the planning.
