A Form of Thinking for Highlighting Regional Similarities and Differences

Abstract

This study propose a form of thinking for comparing regions and highlighting regional similarities and differences toward utilizing existing research and study regarding regional development. Furthermore we applied the form to a certain rural village to evaluate the validly of the form. As a result, a vivid description of the village was provided. Besides qualitative discussion suggested that the village had the spirit to keep up something old, embrace something new and live with change. We want to achieve our intended objects by applying the form to more various regions.
