In Japan, the shift from hospitalization-centered medical care to home care is underway. In such a situation, it is known that “24-hour home visit system,” “physical strength of the doctors themselves,” and “24-hour contact with the patients” are the most difficult burdens for doctors. In this study, we analyzed systems that support home medical care and examined ways to reduce the burden on physicians, who are key persons in this field. As a result of the study, it was found that physicians were not cognizant of the system to support home medical care. In other words, it became clear that there is a gap in recognition between the medical associations that operate systems to support home medical care and the physicians who actually perform home medical care. It is believed that reducing this gap in recognition between medical associations and physicians will lead to the promotion of home medical care in the future.
