In recent years, it has been pointed out that labor productivity in Japan’s manufacturing has declined in comparison with overseas manufacturing. In order to deal with such issues, it is necessary to visualize the productivity of production lines continuously and in real time, and to present information to managers and supervisors to encourage actions that are directly linked to results. Therefore, in this research, we examine a diagnostic method of productivity using the operational availability and operating rate. In addition, in order to visualize productivity continuously and in real time, we propose a data collection method using IoT. By performing such a diagnosis, the actions required for improvement activities on the production line will be clarified, and an improvement in productivity can be expected.
