Abstract

The features of the educational strategy of IFOMPT (International Federation of Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapists), the global standard for manipulative physical therapy education, are setting high educational goals, the optimal curriculum for achieving these goals, and the optimal evaluation of learning outcomes. To ensure that these standards are adhered by the educational institutions, IFOMPT has conducted periodic monitoring. These system are successfully conducted, the educational institutions approved by IFOMPT can achieve high educational quality and maintain those quality anywhere in the world. In addition, with the recent establishment of evidence based practice, various abilities not only the manual skill but also critical evaluation of evidence in clinical practice, advanced clinical reasoning ability, and the ability to critically interpret the research findings and apply to their clinical practice would be required for the current professional manipulative physical therapists (OMPT).
