Development and utilization of science has been accelerated not for scientific discovery but as means to solve problems. Citing Data Integration Analysis System Program (DIAS-P), we discuss how to structure information to facilitate interdisciplinary search for creation of public benefit. Simultaneously, we propose to redefine ‘workbenches’ in DIAS information infrastructure.
