A current measurement with wide frequency spectrum is required because of installation of semiconductor transfer facilites in industries. We proposed a current sensor with wide frequency range by AC zero-flux method. In this paper we analyze the mechanism of the operations. In particular we get a theoretical formula of the operation by taking a priority of CT operation at magnetic circuit. We developed a clamp-on current sensor with wide frequency range from 1 Hz to 500 kHz and good accuracy within ±0.5%. The analytical results agree well with the experimental data of the developed sensor.
