This paper describes the performance characteristics of a new type of linear parametric motor. We have investigated the possibility of increasing the static thrust force of linear parametric motors by improving the magnetic circuit of a four-legged linear parametric motor. The performance of the new type of linear parametric motor is superior to that of the former four-legged linear parametric motor in terms of the static thrust force, the weight of the motor, and the ratio of the static thrust force to the mass.
