Rigid plastic analysis is widely used for the analyses of metal forming process or bearing capacity characteristics. From the mathematical point of view, rigid plastic analysis essentially belongs to convex programming. In this context, one of the authors proposed a hybrid type rigid plastic finite element method based on the primal dual interior point method (PDRPFEM) as an efficient numerical tool. In this paper, PDRPFEM is extended to more general rigid plastic boundary value problems including dead loads which is independent of a load factor and frictinal materials. Formulation of this extension is explained in details. Numerical performance of this extension is also investigated in comparison with the previous analytical solutions.
