People's Share in Maintaining and Managing the Urban Living Environment

Abstract

Under the recent circumstances of the stable economic growth, the new policies and strategies for urban planning are required to be established. Instead of costly development program, the effective use of exiting resources or facilities as well as people’s self-help activities for improving their living environment will become more important. This study aims to find out the possibility of such maintenance and management system of urban living environment that people shares the work with the government.
