Abstract

Tourist’s image and action are investigated for tourist resort planning. An attractive space is necessary in tourist resort, in which design intention is appeared and tourist’s image and action correspond to design intention. So, it is necessary to evaluate space components at view of design. This paper created the evaluation procedure of space design, and suggests the method of survey which consists of image, action and design. This method was put into practice in YUMURA hot-spring resort. As a result, this method is effective to get materials for environmental design in tourist resort.
