A Study on the Citizen's Uses and Needs to Urban Allotment Gardens

Abstract

This paper show the fundamental condition of Allotment gardens in the present urban situation. The data analysis on size of unit, location and suitable distance and other local factors in tend to contribute the planning of these gardens. Through 4 surveys, three improvements are clear. (1) 500m and 1500m are important distance in using area. (2) There is a close correlation between the rate of needs and the density of population. (3)22.3m2 is suitable division.
