This paper contains a report on comparing the national land development planning in Korea with that in Japan in terms of the history, the act and the contents. The Korean act has the similar composition of general rule, a council, and making and executing of the planning to the Japanese act. Moreover, the contents of the planning in Korea is also similar to that in Japan. The intentions of the planning in both countries have switched from the preparation for production environment to the improvement of the living environment in the last period. Considering Japan has been going ahead of Korea in the national development, it si suggested that Korean planning has affected with Japanese planning.
