抄録

This paper makes an experimental evaluation on the light-up system of a truss bridge over the Shinano-River in Nagaoka city. The light-up patterns of a bridge developed in Japan can be classified into four types : upper lighting, illumination lighting, silhouet lighting and total lighting. A small scale model was used to simulate the effect of different light-up patterens and lamp types. Then personal response of peoples types of light-up was surveyed and statistically analysed. This paper concludes That silhouet lighting is most appropriate based on the consideration of urban land-scape and economic fatter.
