THIS ARTICLE STUDIES THE CONDITION OF MIXED LAND USE BY CONSIDERING THREE DIMENSIONAL COMPOSITION OF USE. WE SET TWO CONCEPTS, MIXED USE WITHIN BUILDING AND MIXED USE WITHIN BLOCK AND ANALYZE THE CONDITION OF MIXED LAND USE WITH MIXED LAND USE INDEX, COEFFICIENT OF ADJOIN. WE FIND THAT 1) AS THE CHARACTERISTIC OF THREE DIMENSIONAL COMPOSITION THERE ARE SOME USES WHICH CONCENTRATE ON THE DOWNWARD FLOORS, WHILE SOME USES CONCENTRATE ON THE MIDDLE OR UPWARD FLOORS; 2) AS THE CHARACTERISTIC OF THREE DIMENSIONAL ADJOIN THE RETAIL SALE AND THE FOOD AND DRINK HAS THE LOWER ADJOIN TENDENCY FOR OTHER USES AND THE RESIDENCE AND THE OFFICE HAS THE UPPER ADJOIN TENDENCY FOR OTHER USES.
