RECENTLY, TRANSPORTATION ENERGY BECAME AN IMPORTANT ISSUE FROM THE VIEWPOINT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PAPER IS TO EXAMINE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LAND-USE PATTERNS AND TRANSPORTATION ENERGY CONSUMPTION BY COMPARISON SOME REGIONAL HUB CITY. AFTER THE COMPARISON BY USING POTENTIAL MODEL, ENERGY CONSERVATION CITY IS LOW MODAL SHARE OF MOTORCAR, WHICH IS CONCERNED WITH DISTRIBUTION OF INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AND DISTANCE FROM CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT. AND THE CORRELATION IS OBSERVED BETWEEN RAIL-ROAD ENERGY AND DID AREA OR MAJOR AXIS OF DID ELLIPSE.
