This paper analyzed the actual condition of the usage of the open space in the housing complex and the residents' intention for its future design and maintenance. The survey was conducted using questionnaire to investigate actual condition of public management of housing complex in Daegu City. The result suggests that the residents recognize open space and verandah in housing complex to be similar with the Madang and Garden in detached house. Moreover they intent to self-initiatively administer green area planning.
