路面電車保有都市の都市形態に関する研究

Light Rail Transit (LRT) System and tramways based on it in urban areas have been appreciated again. This paper analyzes comparing forms of cities that have been preserving tramway and have dismantled it. Therefore, the focuses of analysis in cities are characteristics of urbanization and compactness of urban structure. It was found that in cities preserving tramways wall, environmental-destroying urbanization rates are lower than others. Above all, compactness rates of urban structure are unexpectedly high.
