Abstract
This study examines the home moving tendency of the residents in the area of a completed Land Readjustment Project aiming land development carried out in the environs of the city of Takasaki. We analyzed the data of he removers before and after the replotting disposition of this project, paying a careful attention to the household characteristics and the housing form of the residents. It turned out that the younger aged householders such as single-person householders or young couples were greatly influential in the removal ratio. Most of them chose apartment houses built by landowners on their landed property because few were built in the reserved land area. It might be an important factor to assume the future depopulation in our country when planning a new Land Readjustment Project.
