Abstract
Central Disaster Prevention Agency released the prospects of serious damages from the tsunami disaster that will take place in the near future. The importance of the evacuation facilities and evacuation planning served by the local governments becomes on the increase. In an evacuation planning in a coastal area, the spatial distribution of the people living and working there should be considered because the evacuation time depends on one's location. We collected the data about the spatial distribution of the people by a survey in Tarou district, Iwate prefecture. The data includes the people's spatial distribution on daytime and also nighttime. We examine how the people can evacuate as soon as possible under the condition of their physical condition and their location on the field.
