Abstract
Considering huge damage by great earthquake right on a mega-city, pre-disaster planning for post-disaster recovery is vital for the disaster mitigation measures. From this points of view, an administrative staff training for post-disaster urban recovery has been organized by Tokyo Metropolitan Government since 1998. Our team was involved to assist that training on July 2005. In this paper, cicumstances of pre-disaster planning for post-disaster recovery by TMG were summarized. After that, impacts of this training were analyzed through questionaire survey and resulut objects of training. Finally, a postion of this training among disaster reduction policies was discussed.
