Abstract
the purpose of this study was to clear the complicated architectural style constituting current townscape , and to examine inhabitant's evaluation of architectural style. result of this study is as follows. 1)it grasped that characteristic of various component used for architecture facade. 2)intricate architectural style was able to classify into 5 typical architectural styles and 16 particular architectural styles at detached house, and to classify into 4 typical architectural styles and 9 particular architectural styles at dwelling house. 3) it grasped that relation between distribution characteristic of architectural style and the historic background of research district. 4)the resident was evaluating house based on a traditional architectural style.
