Abstract
The purpose of this study was to grasp the origin of the characteristic streetscape of narrow roads connected to town historic backgrounds. The subject of this study was density build-up area where the history was accumulated. The area became to have the streetscape which was showed no personality by mess up under the present conditions and various changes. The results of this study are listed as follows.1) Extraction of characteristic streetscape of narrow road patterns. 2) Explanation of narrow roads streetscape pattern the historic backgrounds point of view. This study is able to evaluate narrow roads streetscape by investigate town historic backgrounds newly.
