Abstract
To improve urban amenity through regenerating the existing urban infrastructure,the regeneration of city parks is one of important implementation in the city planning nowadays. With this consideration,this paper explores the ways in which regenerate city parks. It particularly looks at city parks in Sapporo City,such as Odori,Nakajima,and Mikaho parks. Through the research,it become clear that there are two trends in the regeneration of city parks. Firstly,the regeneration of the large scale city park were happened in the late 1980's with the positive assist from the national government. Secondly,the increasing number of regeneration of medium and small scale city park has been progressed by individual local authority.
